We painted our clay leaf plates today! The leaf print really stands out now that we have painted them with some lovely, shiny paint! 🍃 #pdaart

Today we have been VERY excited to start making our clay leaf plates! We look forward to painting them next week when they are dry. 🍁🍃#pdaart

We tested the houses that we made to see if they were sturdy and waterproof! After the experiment we did an evaluation and thought about what we could do next time to improve our house. 🏠 #pdascience

We used Adobe Firefly to create our own image of a monster and then independently wrote a description for it. We also gave our monster a name- don’t worry Mr Lawson! #pdaenglish

Year 1 are really enjoying their dance unit. They are working really hard to perfect their moves for a pirate themed dance. I can’t wait to see the final piece! 🏴‍☠️ #pdape

We brought together all of the knowledge we have learnt about our RE topic ‘Baptism’ and took part in some role play! #pdare

We had lots of fun creating our own backgrounds and sprites on Scratch Jr. and making a program for our sprites. We tested them to see whether our algorithms were effective! 🙂 #pdacomputing

In RE, we discussed how you become a part of God’s family when you are baptised. We created jigsaw pieces to show how we are all individuals yet belong to one class- Year 1! #pdare

Using the skills we have been learning about in DT with Mr Bedford, we all successfully created a chair for a bear! Great job Year 1! #pdadt 🧸

What a busy and fun afternoon! For VE Day we created a class bunting (it is hung up in our window!), designed a VE celebration cake and created a food menu if we had a street party! We also looked at some very special artefacts our class friends brought in from WW2.
