At approx. 8:30 am GPD responded to shooting on E. 5th Street. One person shot and transported. Suspect is in custody and there no ongoing threat. Lockdown at Wahl Coates Elementary has been lifted. 5th St between Elm St and 10th St is currently closed for ongoing investigation

Marvin Jarman passed away earlier this morning. Thank you to all who have reached out recently, but we wanted to let everyone know, Marvin now has the best seat in the house for all sporting events. No arrangements have been made yet but will post once we know any details

We have a new classroom this year at South Greenville Elementary School. Mr Longest is the PE teacher. This school is awesome with so much support and care. The gym is a long walk from the classroom but today even in the rain we had a great transition.
