In some communities, FGM is done to preserve virginity be4 marriage and ensure fidelity to marriage. Those who marry these girls are men. Unless they're engaged, the practice will continue as mothers continue to assume men prefer women who've undergone FGM for marriage #MenEndFGM

The silence of men is deemed as support for this practice. That's a FACT! Then why do we choose to blame men and the Patriarchy rather than investing in sensitisation and getting them to Speak UP? #EndFGM #MenEndFGM
