Great start to our final Camp, Camp La Amistad, for #TeamCostaRica, which is more mountainous. A 8km return commute to project on foot for improvements to a local school yesterday, & creating a restorative wall of recycled tyres to tackle erosion have been the projects so far!

#TeamCostaRica enjoying a relaxing evening break in Dominical before heading to their final camp later this afternoon!

Day 8 at Camp Uvita for #TeamCostaRica - we weren’t expecting a precautionary Tsunami evacuation this morning but luckily Costa Rica in the end was left unaffected! Back to projects later with repainting a rusty school fence, to clearing forest trails and filling in sink holes!

Shoutout to Grace L for her fantastic sing post to raise awareness for Trees in the National Park! Some great signs created by #TeamCostaRica this afternoon!

Day 6 at Camp Uvita for #TeamCostaRica - projects including levelling the road through the national park, rebuilding a new Rangers Hut, and making signs for the protection of trees. Students also visited Whale Tail Beach this morning, a popular tourist destination of this area!

An amazing 3 days at Uvita for #TeamCostaRica completing their scuba diving PADI course! Memories made to last a lifetime, and lots of creatures seen from Turtles to Sting Rays to Sharks! 🦈

Amazing 1st day in Uvita Camp - brilliant tour of the local National Park. Within an hour we’d all seen Sloths, Scarlett Mackaws, Toucans and Howler Monkeys. Finished up with a brief beach visit before rain called for a return to camp #TeamCostaRica

Camp Salitre - completed! Our final day including making homemade chocolate from local cocoa, and a bonfire night. #TeamCostaRica now move onto Camp 2, Uvita!

#TeamCostaRica smashed the bench and sign making day project at the local Bribri school - only got asked to make 1 bench, and they made 2! Brilliant team effort!

#TeamCostaRica have also been embracing in some local Bribri culture. Here’s Blake crushing some corn to make Chicha, a traditional drink, and the locals putting on a BriBri concert!

Upto Day 6 for #TeamCostaRica. Our Y10’s still working so hard helping the local community, from constructing benches and bins, to making drainage channels and bracelets!
