In any #PandemicAgreement, equity is not optional. We've lost 40 million people to AIDS-related deaths. The COVID pandemic cost 7 million lives. The costs of not reaching the first-ever global #PandemicAccord will be simply just too high. https://t.co/sZpRmMeRDk

Let's remember the lessons learned from #COVID19 as we tackle the #Mpox crisis in Africa. In #DRC, children make up 70% of cases and 80% of deaths. Research is needed to rapidly develop and test solutions specifically designed for these at-risk populations. #PandemicPreparedness
The COVID-19 pandemic underscored the need for tailored responses to protect children & enhance readiness for future crises. As @UNICEF & partners scale up capacities, the global health architecture must evolve to prioritize children. @DouglasNobleMD

We owe a #PandemicAgreement to: - those who are still grieving the loss of someone they loved to COVID-19; - to our children, grandchildren and to generations who have not even been born. They do not have to suffer as we suffered when the next pandemic strikes. I called on the

Over decades, the HIV response has shown how it's possible to respond effectively to a pandemic. Any #PandemicAccord must learn from the fight to #endAIDS, and be based on the principles of human rights, equity & solidarity. We mustn't repeat COVID's vaccine apartheid. #PPPR #INB
