Today the Census Bureau released the Vintage 2024 County Population Estimates! Trends were mixed across NYS, with different patterns in the past two years (2022-2024) versus the COVID19 years (2020-2022). Our annual report of highlights can be found here:

PAD & @PopulationCU have released the newest TiDbit installment on Domestic Migration: More people moved out of NYS than into it each year for the past decade. However, recent losses due to domestic migration were driven by more people moving out of NYC.

Today @uscensusbureau released the 2023 County Population Estimates! Our highlights for New York State are out, here: The number of counties in NYS with more people moving in than moving out (positive net migration) over doubled from the 2022 period.

We put the NY county detailed race data from DDHC-A in a single Excel file with some enhancements, for example to harmonize age groups where possible and by adding some DHC data. We hope this format is helpful. Download through:
