There is a special place in hell for people who leave proofs in textbooks as an exercise for the reader.

Well, "Fun Machine" takes the cake really.

"Woo! Let's go down the Fun Pipe!" "Yaaaaayyyyyy!!!". Oh wow, that sounds actually a bit disturbing… um.

"FunFail" and "FunMaybe" are close contenders, but I just can't see "FunPipe" without smiling and imagining some sort of sparkly flume.

So in Principles of Programming Languages we're writing interpreters for a language called "Fun". This had led to great amusement in notes.

Accidentally writing "Kasterborous" instead of "Kerberos" in Security notes… #compsciwhovianproblems.

Ah, Security. Where every statement ends "… probably" and "trusted" is defined as "someone who can hurt you". How I've missed your paranoia.

My habit of acronymising chapter names for brevity continues to amuse with "Alternative Signature Schemes"… #revision #maturity.

Even if it does cause "We want to break the encryption so we can get incredibly rich" to be in my notes.

I mean, in a proof I'm likely to say "we want to prove", and in a program I might say "we want to sort", so "we want to break" is logical?.

Does it say more about me or my note-taking style that I refer to an agent doing something as "we", even if it's the Enemy in Security?.

Ah, finally finished writing up notes for a subject. *looks back at first page of notes* *fails to recall any of it* #sugar.

"Recall that [X]" and "[X] is trivial" are the most irritating things to find in notes… grr… #revision.

That "OH I GET IT!" moment. It's often rare, but it's always sweet. #revision.

Back in Oxford after a short break for more revision and project work before #finals next term… blissfully ignoring ALL the election faff.

So the 3rd Year Project Report is probably the most extended (factual) writing I've done since Y13….

Update #4: Someone rounded the corner as I went into the kitchen. Correct decision was made. That's enough adventure. *back to books*.

Update #2: there are gardeners outside the staircase. They would see… and they'd judge… o.o #theplotthickens.

I'm currently wearing a blanket-cape. Is it socially acceptable to wear this down to the kitchen while I make lunch? #conundrum.
