I had a brilliant time returning to Swansea University Coastal Ecology Research Group for last week's intertidal surveys. It was so nice for me to reconnect with old friends, refresh my ID skills and work in marine ecology again. #intertidal #ecology #macroalgae #seaweed

Ascophyllum nodosum forest on the Isle of Mull, blindly (and luckily) taken from my kayak. I wish I had a snorkel and trunks for this moment. People love seeing coral reefs in documentaries, not enough people appreciate the beauty of macroalgal paradises around the UK.
