The children in class 4 enjoyed a spa treat to keep cool. We used their trays and filled them with cold water to place their feet in whilst completing their RE work. They loved it, water treat! 😂

In art, the Year 1 children have continued to explore the sculptor Antony Gormley. They were inspired by his work and created their own 3D art in the form of birds.

In Year 1, our super mathematicians have been learning all about different coins and their value. They compared purses and created amounts of money such as 10p using different coins. We challenged them to make 10p in as many ways as they could!

Nursery loved exploring our new transient art resources and their own creativity today. Ethan made an image of his Daddy. Kamilla proudly announced that she made a bear. Wonderful ideas from everyone! 💡 🖼️ 🍊

Year 1 would like to say a huge thank you to our amazing PTFA for funding BB Falconry, who delivered a wonderful live owl experience. The children met 3 different species of owl, fed a 6 week old owlet and watched a flying display. Wow!

Year 2 have started to look at clocks. They are counting in intervals of five on an analogue clock and have made their own clocks.

In Year 3 reading, we were our bright and early! We helped our robot stay hidden by collecting fallen debris from outside to camouflage her! What a lovely, fun, hands-on way to explore settings and character s🌿🤖📚 #CreativeLearning #Year3 #ReadingLesson

Year 1, are currently learning how to tell the time. Today with Miss Bayes, they learnt how to tell the time to the hour, o'clock. They made their own clock using a hoop, rulers and numicon. They thoroughly enjoyed this. They would love to practise more at home!

Year 3 have taken their science learning outside this week to observe pollinating insects in action! 🌼🐝 They’ve been investigating the question: What colour flower do pollinating insects prefer? A great example of enquiry-led, hands-on science!

Reception have been lucky to have some exciting visitors come to stay over the last two weeks 🐥. We have watched them hatch, swim and grow into ‘teenage’ ducklings. It has been the most wonderful experience.
