Extraordinary swing result for the LibDems!

The final picture is that the Liberal Democrats have overall control of @bathnes with 37 councillors. The Conservatives had 35 councillors and now have just 11. There are six independents (but none from BIG) and five Labour members #Bathneslocals2019

Right, they're all verified so the counts for all wards can get underway. Highest turnout was in Widcombe and Lyncombe, at 56.09%. Lowest was in Westfield at just 22.62% #Bathneslocals2019

After celebrating the centenary of Women's Suffrage last year, we hope that everyone will use their vote today in Bath. BPT, an apolitical charity, will be happy to work with the new Councillors irrespective of party to treasure Bath's past and embrace its sustainable future.

Whatever the outcome tomorrow standing for BIG has been a privilege and a hugely positive experience. I've loved getting to know my fellow candidates and meeting so many welcoming Combe Downers. Whatever you do tomorrow please cast your votes they all count.

Letter arrived from @bathnesld addressed to my brother and I (do they think we're a couple?), stating ONLY they or the Tories can win in Lambridge. Complete lies! In the last election the Tories didn't even get a seat, whereas the @BathNESGreens got more votes than the Lib Dems.

Why think BIG at Bath’s local elections? The UK is the most centralised country in the OECD. This has stifled community innovation and creative local politics. BIG is a move in the right direction, which is why I’ve voted for it.

@jimbomorrison @bathnes How many retail units are empty in the centre of town? 60+? @bathnes are deluded - and marketing #bath as an independent/shopping destination...
