My husband had 0 in his pocket except the £100 he made by selling his Xbox a week before his nikkah.
I didn’t even have a wedding. I was at home while hubs and my wali/family/witnesses were in a dessert shop. Then I got a call from him saying I’m his wife now 🫠
I had maybe 50 dollars in my bank account when I got married. We lived in a one bedroom apartment. I’m a hell of a lot more financially comfortable now, but I achieved that success along the way with my wife by my side. You don’t need to be rich to get married.
