As a reminder, there will be no school on Oct. 11, to allow our families and staff to take care of their homes and each other. All staff will return to work on Oct. 14, for the pre-scheduled teacher workday/student holiday. Students will return to school on Oct. 15.

Thankfully, we are now on the other side of Hurricane Milton. We hope our students, families, staff, & community suffered minimal damage if any. At this time, several schools are without power and we are closely working to get them back up.

Tuesday, Oct. 8th, 4:30 p.m. UPDATE: The Osceola County School District will now be closed on Friday, October 11. This is in addition to the previously announced closures on Wednesday, October 9, and Thursday, October 10.

5 p.m. update: Dr. Shanoff has cancelled school on Tuesday, Oct. 8. After consulting with state and local officials and in response to the evacuation cadence of the western side of the state, we're closing schools and district offices Tuesday, Oct. 8 through Thursday, Oct. 10.

Florida Executive Order 24-214 declares that a State of Emergency exists in Osceola County. The District has made the decision, in accordance with the provisions set forth in Executive Order 24-214 to cancel the School Board Meeting for October 8, 2024.

The school board workshop and board meeting that was to be held on Tuesday, October 8, have been cancelled. The next Osceola County School Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 22. On Wednesday, October 9, all schools and school district operations will be closed.
