Passed my American Board of Surgery (@AmBdSurg) Qualifying Exam, one more step to be American Board Certified Surgeon 🥳 . I dedicate this to my fellow Palestinians in Gaza who are still under genocide for nearly 2 yrs. I hope I will be able to give back and help out soon . 🇵🇸🫶🏻

Disappointed at @JTraumAcuteSurg for publishing such a nonsense piece that tries to whitewash the medical Apartheid and genocide that Israel has been committing for over 70 years. JTACS also rejected the largest series of traumatic injuries coming out of Gaza a few weeks ago!.
ATLS courses consisting of half Palestinian and half Israeli found that there was no statistical difference in the desire to cooperate with health initiatives (>93%), or participate in social events together (>76%) when comparing courses before & during the war.

Yesterday he collapsed in the OR from starvation and after spending hrs operating on patients with extremity fractures from gunshot injuries sustained by the IOF while scrambling for blood-soaked aid. He remained in the hospital, received a bolus of IVF then went back to work.3

While at work last year he was illegally detained by the IOF from Nasser Hospital and released 11 months later with no charges. He was subjected to torture and abuse as with many surgeons and HCWs in Gaza .2
