Mike Elias said the Orioles' roster is not set ahead of Thursday's opening day. There is always the possibility of an external addition, plus injury uncertainty to Heston Kjerstad (hamstring tightness), Dylan Beavers (sore knee) and Keegan Akin (adductor).

Orioles now have the flexibility to do this with Kremer having an option remaining. He wonāt be in AAA very long. This move lets him stay stretched out and not mess with the timing of throwing 3 innings out of the pen every few days.
Wow. Shocking move but it makes sense. Orioles donāt need a 6th starter (really even a 5th til mid April. Extra relief help now and Kremer stays stretched out in AAA. Makes sense when we think about it
