It’s outrageous that a Panda Express manager can start at $75k-$80k, while it takes a Miami-Dade teacher 25+ years to earn that. Teachers deserve to start at $65k+—it’s time to pay them what they’re worth. Investing in teachers means investing in our future. @MiamiHerald

@UTD_AFT1974 We support him because he was a teacher ! We have @OrtegaForFL , a real teacher and union brother running for our School Board in District 3. Why wouldn’t our union endorse a dues paying member and established educator, but picked Joe Geller, attorney, with a kid in a CHARTER?
