The purpose is to consolidate current research and initiatives that aim to improve the environment, accessibility, and future of geological collections. Themes welcomed include anti-colonial practice, accessibility, neuroinclusive practice, and representation of minority groups.

After the success of the GCG EDI symposium in April, we are proud to announce a special issue of Geological Curator for publication in Spring 2025, titled 'Moving towards equitable Geoscience Collections'. Call for submissions will open on 15th Sept. and close 31st Oct.

As we enter Pride Month, the GCG would like to re-share our blog piece on LGBTQ+ representation in Geoscience 👇. We believe that the Geosciences are for everyone, all year round, and we hope to be part of the move towards positive change in our field.
