Great result for @WYP_WKBikeCops . Anyone considering buying one of these bikes and using it on the roads or in public places needs to check out the law, otherwise it could be an expensive mistake!
We've had lots of complaints about this electric bike flying around Ossett recently. We managed to get hold of it yesterday. Bike seized and rider reported to court for having no licence or insurance.

📍 @Durpol_Bikes carried out patrols across #Weardale last weekend. The dales are known for their beauty and we can see why the roads are particularly attractive to bikers. Utilising the 'Speedwatch' initiative we aim to reduce speeding vehicles across our rural communities.

Good news for #Darlington residents 🙌 The Section 59 signs which are already in use in the West End and Red Hall areas have been extended to cover the Firthmoor area. This means that anyone seen riding an off-road bike anti-socially will have their vehicle seized immediately.

💪 Another illegal moped seized PC Oliver from @Durpol_Bikes was on patrol in #Easington on Tuesday when he noticed a teenager riding the moped dangerously. He pursued the vehicle which clipped a kerb and abandoned it in Ascot St. The moped was seized under @OpEndurance

This bike was reported stolen in #Trimdon over the weekend 👇 Luckily, an eagle-eyed witness reported seeing a group of boys making off from the area with a bike matching the description. Officers were quickly able to recover the bike and return it to the owner 👏

Last week, officers received reports of teens riding anti-socially on motorbikes around #Ferryhill. The team followed the group along Church Ln where one of the bikes was dumped, it was later revealed to be stolen from Aycliffe. Bike seized 👏 Enquiries ongoing 📋
