🙏🏾 The goal of being an independent artist at its core is about ownership, creative freedom, and control over your career. What makes independent artistry special is maintaining autonomy while still achieving the visibility and sustainability that major label artists can have.
I’m a little lost. Can somebody tell me what the goal of being an independent artist is today because all of the things that people are chasing is shit major artist do, what’s the thing that indie artist do that make it special ?

I manage an artist who in the last 3 months grew 45k followers, reached 65k monthly listeners & had 2 videos hit 1 million on socials without spending any money on ads & while using content he shot w his phone. Great music, great branding + consistency is all you need to start.
