Yeah, but unlike the ps5, the ps4 had many games. Ps5 has so little games, releasing a PS6 before 2030 would just show how pointless the PS5 was.
The general reaction to a PS6 launch for 2027 seems to be mostly negative. But don't forget that right now it would be October 2018 during the PS4 generation's cycle. The reactions were similar. No one wanted a PS5 in 2018. By Nov 2020 though, people definitely wanted a PS5.

Mario was still in its boring safe era Zelda was in development hiatus with BOTW And metorid went quiet after the Other M flopped Fire emblem was only on 3DS And animal crossing was only 3DS Only franchises that were in good shape were Kirby, Xenoblade, Splatoon, and Smash.

Console generations are based off sucesssorship and current competition. Switch 1 would be Gen 9 by this despite its gen 7 power. Switch 2 is Gen 10 with its Gen 9 power

Ps4 Game Vs PS5 Game. This is why I'm not gonna be surpised to see Gen 10 games coming to switch 2 despite its Gen 9 power. Graphics peaked after Gen 8.

7 ps6 exlusives is already more than anything the ps5 offered
Sources: Sony Interactive Entertainment to start discussing PS6 starting at CES 2026. A fall 2027 launch is planned. Alongside this, 7 first party studios are working on PS6 exclusives (no PS5) with Sony is planning on PS6’s first few years being PS4 2016-2020 level.
