A highlight of my short visit to Nigeria. As a plant scientist, I was fascinated to see my mum's "small but fruitful" home intercrop farm & how much organic food it produces. No inorganic fertilizers, no agrochemicals. She has a watering system that helps during dry seasons.

In African yam bean, a polyphasic approach identified Colletotrichum siamense, C. theobromicola and C. fructicola as leaf pathogens, and C. truncatum as the cause of pod and bud diseases.
