I am Not crazy. LeBron is the Best there has ever been. He does more to help his teams win than anyone who has ever played the game. And, it is Not even Close. Add the length of his career without a fall-off in his talent level and it is not even worth discussing.
Wow! Down 25 in the 2nd half -
The Terrance Mann Clippers eliminate top-seeded Utah to advance to the Western Conference Finals. Open at Phoenix Sunday. Love it !!!
Congrats to Clippers for solid opening night win over the Lakers. Looks to me as though the best NBA player in Los Angeles is named Kawhi Leonard. And, yes,
it did seem strange not being there.
Hey, I have seen them All from George Mikan to the great Celtics teams to Wilt, Big O, Kareem, Bird, Magic, Jordan, SHAQ, Kobe, Dr J, et all. I have seen them in person, known them and I tell you - LeBron is the King!
Charles Barkley is Killing the Clippers on TNT half-time. He has received his last Christmas card from me. Fact is,
Clippers have won exactly the same number of NBA titles as Chas.
Laker fans are so sensitive. ABC TV crew certainly agreed that the Clippers were the better team.
Hey, it’s close, but Clipper defense and depth gives them the edge.
Clippers stun the defending champs - come from 31 down to beat Golden State 135-131. Evens best of 7 series at a game each. Game 3 in LA on Thursday night at Staples Center.
Jo and I are shaken to our roots over the passing of dear friend Bill Walton. I never knew a better, more generous man. Our thoughts are with Lori and the Walton sons. RIP Bill.
I made it clear in my book BINGO! 40 YEARS IN THE NBA and I will now repeat: "LeBron James is the Great player in NBA History." Did you see him single handedly
demolish New Orleans last night? I don't even think the race for GOAT is close. And I have seen them All.
'
’s updated MVP Ladder:
1. Kevin Durant
2. Stephen Curry
3. Jimmy Butler
4. Ja Morant
5. DeMar DeRozan
6. Rudy Gobert
7. Luka Doncic
8. Anthony Davis
9. Giannis Antetokounmpo
10. Nikola Jokic
I thought I had seen Everything and then the Clippers come from 35-down to beat Wizards in Washington on last second 4-point play to Win it. Greatest come-back I’ve ever seen.
Thoughts are with Kobe’s family in light of this tragic loss. His parents, Joe and Pam were close friends back in early Clipper years in San Diego. I held 1 year old Kobe on my lap in 1979. His life transended sport. It hardly seems real.
OMG! Clippers up by 21 in the. 4th Q to the Lakers, but lose as a LeBron James out-scored the Clips by himself in the final period. Unbelievable.I repeat: James is the best to ever play the game.
Certainly one of the great wins in Clipper P-O history in SLC tonight! Right there with game 1 come-back win in Memphis and game 7 last second win over Spurs. AMAZING!
Watched Clips beat Lakers just now - delayed a bit becuz of Christmas, but worth the wait. Both teams at full strength. Great Win! Congrats to the best NBA team in LA!
Thst was a championship level performance. I expected a long and hard series and that’s what we got with Clippers over Dallas in 7-games.
Congrats to Ty Lue and the entire team. It is on to SLC for an even tougher series v Utah Jazz.
This just in: The LA Clippers are Really good. I’d say they are the best team in the Western Conference right now. This could be the year we have all been waiting for - Forever !
Clippers silence the crowd in Boston snd doubters thru-out the land - coming from 28-down to beat the Cetics 123-112. Celts had 74 at the half - only 38 the rest of the way. A 42-pt 4th Q for Clippers including 4 Three balls by newcomer Landry Shamet!
Looks like the Clippers are hell bent on winning the NBA title tnis season. Addition of Reggie Jackson is super solid. And another win for LAC over LAL!
I have spent more time in front of the TV today than anytime since the OJ trial. Up at 5:15AM for the Mueller Testimony and right into the Leonard/George/LA Clipper presser. If only owner Steve Ballmer were a little more energetic. Wow. Great Day in Clipper Nation.
NBA TV just replayed Clippers thrilling game 7 win over defending champion Spurs in 2015. Maybe greatest game in LAC history. Score was tied 13-times in the 4th Q. Wow! CP3 playing on one leg made the wild game-winner !!!
Moving day - Final AM in Marina Del Rey where I’ve spent 14 of my 35 years with the Clippers since the team’s move to LA in 1984. Off to Oregon tomorrow. Good times - good memories.
Blake - Thanks for the memories. There are Many and almost all of them a really good. I have loved my time since retiring after 40+ years in the NBA. I am sure you will too. An exciting chapter awaits.
Stunning. Everyone in the organization will miss him. Clipper fans should be thankful for his contribution to the turnaround achieved by the franchise.
Doc Rivers didn’t bring the chip to the Clippers, but he helped usher in a new era and stabilized the team during the Sterling fiasco
Thanks for everything Doc
@FactsandTruth_
@Ohmeomy
It’s nice actually. Just watched the 2001 Lakers NBA championship video last night. Such a great feeling to have personally witnessed 11 of the 17 Lakers chips? Any championship videos for the slippers?
Wait, the last few times the Clippers have been in a series where one team had a 3-1 series lead - the Team with One - would win the series. Think about it.
Here are the Numbers that bother me about the LA Clippers:
Player. Age
George. 34
Harden. 34
Leonard. 33
Plumlee. 34
Powell. 30
Theis. 32
Tucker. 39
Westbrook. 35
They need Youth & Athleticism.
Best wishes to Blake Griffin in his move to Detroit. Short term Shock -
long term gain for the Clippers with a couple of talented players - 2 draft picks and cap flexibility unimagined 24 hours ago. The Next Chapter Begins!
I could not ne happier! He was my First and Only choice. It makes me much more comfortable in retirement knowing my old job is in Brian’s more than capable hands. Congrats
@bsieman
! Congrats Clipper Nation!
Jo and I were watching Lakers-Blazers on TV Wednesday night and I said: “Gee, I’d like to see this Norman Powell on the Clippers.” (He scored 30-points). Wow. Dreams do come true.
I do not understand this Clipper schedule this week. The NBA, I thought, had decided not to have teams play a national TV game in the 2nd game of a back to back.
Yet, here they are on ESPN tonight and TNT tomorrow night. Not fair to the fans or the team - or Kawhi.
Clips played much better today. Add Trez and Lou Will to that group and they will be tough to beat in a 7-game series. Jo and I may try to be a zoom face in the crowd one of these games. That would be fun!
This is a big night for this Clipper team/franchise. It is the first time this group will play in front of a full house crowd at Staples. I think it will really Energize them. Still, if Utah has its starting backcourt in tact, it will be a Big challenge. Can hardly stand the wait
Stunned by the Doc Rivers bashing.
Before he got to Clippers, they had been in P-Os 6 times in prior 34 years. Since his arrival, Play-offs 6-times in 7 years and winning record every season. Enough said.
I hate to get too excited, but I am getting pretty excited about the LA Clippers who won their 8th straight in clobbering the Pacers in Indy tonight 151-127! Great way to open a challenging 3-game trip. Harden went for 35 and his doubters have been Silenced!
Do not understand the widely negative reaction to Ty Lue’s apparent hiring as coach of the LA Clippers. Apparently, Ballmer, Frank, West and Winger all think he’s the right man after an exhaustive search and interview process. That is good enough for me.
The Clippers will bring in the NEW YEAR tonight in flight from Toronto to New York. Jo and I spent a few flights with the team celebrating at 35,000 feet.
GREAT win for Clippers on game one in Phoenix! Leonard was spectacular and Westbrook made one big play after another. Clippers Up 1-0 and steal homecourt edge on Suns.
Clippers will not need the charter airplane to fly home after the stunning win over the Golden State Warriors who last lost a 1st round game at home - oh-oh to the Clippers in 2014. Must come back down to earth for a big game 3 Thursday night at Staples Center.
Assuming trade for Morris is completed, a Giant Win for Clippers. He is a bigger, better version of Harkless. Perfect fit.
He can move right onto the starting line-up and be a go to piece on nights that Leonard or George sit. GREAT move!!!
50 years ago this week that the NBA granted expansion franchises to Portland, Cleveland and Buffalo. It was Feb. 6, 1970 that the 3 cities entered the league. It has been a long and winding road from Buffalo to San Diego (1978) to Los Angeles (1984). Happy Birthday Clippers!
SBJ announced top 75 broadcasters NBA History. Also list top 5 all-time Team TV announcers. Thrilled & appreciative of being a part of this esteemed list: Alphabetical: Marv Albert (Knicks), Mike Breen (Knicks), Mike Gorman (Celtics), Ralph Lawler (Clippers) & Marc Zumoff (76ers)
