Ended my week with CTAE observations!🤩 I went from a “Shark Tank” task in our Entrepreneurship class, to a Mechanics dream world in our Automotive pathway, to a mock trial in our Engineering pathway!. Hands on interactive learning continues to be #AHughesDeal!

I was so in my head today and felt like I was failing as an IC… clicked open my IG and saw one my babies from my 1st year post this 😭. IMO that was my absolute worst teaching year, but my opinion doesn’t matter. Theirs does 🤎 learning to give myself grace!

My AP said a T might step out their comfort zone if I talk to her bc of the relationships I’ve built. She doesn’t know how much that meant, simply bc of everything @SineeVaughn taught me. I wouldn’t be the IC I am today without her leadership! . RELATIONSHIPS COME FIRST‼️.

Almost 4 years ago, knowing my aspirations to be an IC, @acwscience forced me out my comfort zone by leading this PD with her for the district! . An opportunity to grow in the skillset needed for the job. Now I’m an IC doing the same thing for my Ts! Talk about full ⚫️ moment!.

Hands on learning is always a crowd (student) favorite! But sometimes, going nostalgic with the textbook and paper to work on research and comprehension skills is key!. A balance of instructional experiences for all types of students learners is to #AHughesDeal at LHHS!
