Ofsted’s comment on this story: “This story is untrue. Ofsted does not consider admissions during school inspections and we have no plans to do so in future. The focus of our inspections is the quality of education provided for pupils.”
🏫 Schools face being marked down for taking on too many middle-class pupils under plans being considered by the education watchdog

Thank you for the feedback @HumbyMrs good to hear the inspection was a positive experience.
Just had an inspection at @OBAcademy. Some of the leadership team commented after it was the 'best cpd' they'd ever had. There's no wrong time for that. Well done @Ofstednews for a very well handled visit at such a sensitive time.

700 Ofsted staff are supporting local authorities, government departments and other organisations with the response to COVID-19. A number of qualified staff are working in children’s homes, and more have volunteered to be emergency foster carers.

Thanks to all in children’s social care, where everyone is working so hard at the moment. With millions of children out of school, social workers, children’s home workers, carers and so many others are all doing so much for those in need.

Parents need to hear the message: keep children at home if at all possible. Support the decisions your child's school are making. They are working to keep everyone safe and slow the spread of COVID-19. 3/4
