Today we say farewell to @PaulBrookerHMI who retires from Ofsted. Over many years Paul has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of children and young people as an HMI and Regional Director for the East of England. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This is a) not true and b) just increases the chance of a genuine safeguarding risk taking longer to be resolved.

Well done to all of you for whom the long wait for results is over. Most of you now have the grades you need for the next stage of your life, and can concentrate on your future.

700 Ofsted staff are supporting local authorities, government departments and other organisations with the response to COVID-19. A number of qualified staff are working in children’s homes, and more have volunteered to be emergency foster carers.

I want to thank all the teachers, heads and support staff who are stepping up to this exceptional challenge. You are helping many children in many ways during a difficult time. Thank you from all of us at Ofsted. #ThankATeacherDay

Thanks to all in children’s social care, where everyone is working so hard at the moment. With millions of children out of school, social workers, children’s home workers, carers and so many others are all doing so much for those in need.
