Congratulations to lifetime Haven fan Ernie Rothery who today celebrates his 100th birthday. Ernie was born in Maryport and the youngest of four sons and was at Havens first match v Hull at the Recreation Ground in 1948.

Today’s game was delayed at half time due to a cardiac arrest with one of our stewards Reg Gallagher. The fast response and work of medical personnel from both teams as well as Charlotte Ennis saved Reg’s life. Reg is currently stable in Hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery.

‘Ronnie’ was stretchered off early on in a neck brace - we are glad to report Liam was up and about in the changing room shortly after being taken off and watched the second half of the game from the dugouts
