Great effort from Lambert from the edge of the box is pushed over the bar by the Ely keeper.

Half time and it’s 2-1 to Ely. They had the ball in the net just before halftime but it was ruled offside. An even half with chances for both sides. It is set up to be a humdinger of a second half.

Ely put the ball in the net from a corner. Massive appeals for handball. Referee consults the linesman and goal stands. Ely have turned the game around now 2-1 to the visitors. About 25’ gone.

Worrying for Hadleigh. Munson in the Hadleigh goal has gone down injured a couple of times. Hopefully all ok.

Goal for Ely. Keeper clears for Ely and a Liggett header eludes Munson in the Hadleigh goal and drops into the net. 1-1 20 gone. Entertaining fayre so far.

Goal for Hadleigh!!! Great work from Spurling down the right and a great ball to find Harvey who slots it home to the keepers left.
