And the end result of Starfield was a mid space game that: 1. Had no intelligent alien lifeforms 2. Massive empty spaces with few POIs 3. Bland & safe quest writing 4. NPCs that look straight out of the PS2 5. Nothing interesting at most of the few repeating POIs
A Bethesda director said Starfield was a "bat**** crazy idea" given the studio had "never made a space sim" which is exactly why the team had to do it via GamesRadar+
