Labour budgeting £26,000 per home! Marvellous! It IS possible to build homes for £26,000 each. They would be sightly on the tiny side. And they would be OFF-GRID - built on agricultural land - each with its own veggie growing area - example:

the UK Government is launching its Local Power Plan tomorrow and its predicted to be bad news for the environment. The 2024 Labour manifesto pledged £400m for community energy - but that was later reduced to £200. We'll see how much it actually gets tomorrow.

#ESNZCommittee in #ParliamentToday heard that household energy arrears is £3.82 BILLION - Add UK business arrears, also nudging £4bn. Every unpaid energy bill adds to costs for the rest of us. Utilities should take the arrears ouut of proits, not expect us to pay for them.

UK WARNING - NESO activated a capacity market notice for the first time in 2 years due to rising electricity demand. Low wind output strained the power grid, with gas power stations supplying 53pc of electricity needs. Sizewell B nuclear is offline for refuelling.

Labour's Big Plans are all about cosying up to big Housing and Big Energy. There is nothing on community empowerment - the new planning laws must enable small-scale local communities to form in rural and green belt areas not currently served by the grid.
