June is #CataractAwarenessMonth! We know that cataracts are one of the main causes of blindness in the U.S. But did you know the LAL is the FIRST and only adjustable lens that allows patients to truly customize their vision after cataract surgery?

I wrote a note that broke my heart to write, but it helped. The next interaction was better. Hope by putting it here, it helps someone else.

Small things matter…when a patient is in and out of departments for tests, we, as care providers, must stay grounded in why we do these jobs. Introducing yourself, explaining the painful procedure you might perform is a bare minimum.

Came to the office after vacay to this note in my white coat pocket. My wish for all physicians is that they work with others that care for one another in the way this doctor does!

A decision to continue with or terminate a pregnancy must reside with the pregnant person. Anything other than this is overreach & maniacal control. Advocate, educate, provide options, and access.

The word “Chief” was formally removed from the titles of executives at @WCHospital yesterday. In the context of the hospital’s significant commitment to @WCHIndigenous & Indigenous health, it was a powerful symbolic act. Thank you to all who led this work.

Are protesters in Quebec going to also ask for Bill 21 to be repealed since they’re fighting for freedom? Asking for a friend.
