It fills in a lot of detail about good old Jurgen - how he has an eye like an eagle for stuff not looking right, how he is a crack shot and cool as a cucumber, a strategic mind for conflict, and also a master of all things vehicular. Its an excellent short story.

While Ciaphas Cain is my favorite character in 40K, (Eisenhorn is second), one of my favorite Cain stories doesnt have the great man in it and instead is all about Jurgen "going shopping" at a supply depot - "The Smallest Detail".
