At a micro level you could look at remittance inflows to rural areas and their correlation to renewable energy. It is thought that some of that money is used for financing renewable sources of energy despite government financing to the programme which might not tell us much.
"What does it cost to achieve the energy transition plan Uganda" it's estimated that we require capital inflows about 3 times of Ugandas current GDP to achieve Energy Transition that's access to sustainable energy services.
