Politicians who are socialists or even communists are openly coming out of the closet and brazenly calling for socialism or communism. Where are the defenders of private property and free markets in our political class? What are they afraid of?

I’ve been financially poor & financially affluent and trust me when I say that both situations present tough challenges. The fact that they are different is not an opportunity to compete for toughest. Rather they are an opportunity to empathize & learn wisdom about being alive.

A partner that is a selfish resentful partner when they are asked to be a partner & temporary caregiver is truly no partner at all. A partner that wants a life journey to be only about collecting pleasurable experiences & only giving only on non-challenging terms is shallow.

I must say it is sad how many otherwise privileged & beautiful people diminish their opportunity for love because they do not want the personal accountability that accompanies real intimacy. It is such a shame because they will never know what their missing.

But beyond creating clear distinctions, it would also be useful to reintroduce into the legislative process some non suicidal form of political currency to encourage compromise, deal making, and cross party alliances for a shared aim.

Within our country we have to draw clear incorruptible distinctions between political discussions & political debate for the purpose of furthering opposing agendas via public rhetorical battle.

My approach to political discussions between myself & my fellow country men is to grant that the person I am speaking to means well & will have something to teach me even if it’s just their very different perspective on whatever issues. When did granting good will become radical?

The hardest thing about any recent public discussions on social or political issues is that rather than a search for truth & solutions by one group of people, all is preconfigured to guide folks to square off into subgroups who then fight bitterly. This has to stop & be rebuked.

So I read my previous tweets & then I imagine many smart, assertive & modern women reading me as some insecure rigid cave man that is merely reacting to women being empowered. I promise, that is so NOT it. I think men & women should be EQUALLY empowered, based on their gifts.

I am just so grateful that a woman of so much academic and personal Substance is willing to tackle some of these truly awful ideas on behalf of all us. Up next what happened to the values upheld by more traditional women, and will they ever get a champion?
