Kevin Hassett is a stone cold moron, but even he’s not stupid enough to actually believe this. He’s just such a genuinely bad person that he’s willing to say 2+2=5 if Trump demands it.
WELKER: Does the administration have any evidence that the jobs numbers were rigged?. HASSETT: The evidence is that there have been a bunch of revisions. WELKER: But hard evidence?. HASSETT: The revisions are hard evidence . (They are not "hard evidence")

Can’t wait for the BLS to congratulate Comrade Trump on another record grain harvest.
Unquestionably the most dangerous and corrupt attack on the independence of US economic data in American history. Trump is firing the head of the BLS, an longtime civil servant confirmed 86-8 by the Senate, simply because the job numbers came in below his expectations today

If any of this were funny, I’d be laughing about how Trumpers built an anti-pedophile cult around the guy who was best friends with the most famous pedophile of all time.
BREAKING NYT:. The Times just found that at least once before the infamous 2003 birthday book, Trump had written Jeffrey Epstein an admiring note. "To Jeff — You are the greatest!" reads an inscription in a copy of Trump's book 'The Art of the Comeback' that belonged to Epstein.

The thing about Samuel Moyn is he’s a stone cold moron, and Yale should be forced to give a refund to everyone who’s taken a class from him.
This, from Sam Moyn's piece on Ukraine today, is utter bullshit:. "There will be no full restoration of lost territory for long-suffering Ukrainians, who have been treated as pawns for a long time—by America’s Democrats, too.".

On the one hand, it would still be a big deal, electorally-speaking, even if only 10-20% of Trump voters turned against Republicans over Medicaid cuts. On the other, it really is something how impervious so many people are to material conditions, esp when it comes to Trump….
Voters vulnerable to Medicaid cuts in President Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” law are reluctant to blame the president or congressional Republicans who approved it, instead directing their frustration at their hospital system.
