Interestingly, the old color can be still seen in the Splatfest trailer video that Nintendo recently posted. (Skip to around 0:19 if the video player doesn’t do it automatically.)

@OatmealDome I honestly don't like either of them.. This one is a little TOO vibrant for me.. But I also don't really like Green, so I can't really complain. I'm on Team Grass, but that BLUE?? Is freaking BEAUTIFUL..

@OatmealDome I thought the colours for Team Grass looked extremely off in the trailer so I'm glad that just seemed to be a placeholder. The new version actually looks green instead of a weird turquoise.
