This is a fascinating in depth account of what’s been happening with Vallejo’s largest homeless encampment, which has been owned by one of the residents for the last two years
In 2023, a Vallejo landowner gifted a 52-acre parcel of marshland where Vallejo's largest homeless encampment is located to Robert Lavon Bell, one of the encampment residents. Now, Bell is struggling with mounting legal pressure to evict his neighbors. https://t.co/SmQmWoSFkQ

If you're on a Kaiser plan through Covered California, read your renewal carefully. Kaiser sent me a letter saying I'd be renewed for a plan that is "the same or similar" and my premiums would go up 11%. Apparently "similar" to Kaiser means my deductible going from 0 to $5,200.
