Our solution is easy to modify, multi-purpose, versatile, and affordable. We demonstrate its application in MRI and PET/CT imaging modalities. We also show its application in imaging from anesthetized mice and rats and in awake mice.

Pulsed radio frequency (RF) energy interacts with the brain differently from continuous-wave (CW) RF. Short high-power RF pulses, in contrast to CW RF, can induce neurological and neuropathological changes in the brain in a biologically non-thermal manner.
