Sports Fest 2024!⚽️🏸🏀. Over 250 staff and students have arrived at the University of Wolverhampton for our now annual sports fest! They have embarked on a day of sport, from relay races to tug of war, netball, football, basketball, football and badminton!

Today we had a visit from Councillor Uddin, who came to celebrate the team who took part in the sponsored walk. Councillor Uddin was hugely impressed by our students who had taken on this big challenge, and praised them for all of their efforts with fundraising.🥳

They completed three laps of the school field, which came to just over 5000 steps equating to about 2.5 miles. The group were fantastic and really enjoyed their walk! In total they raised just over £40, which was celebrated with ice lollies!!🥳.

As you know, we held a very successful sponsored walk last week to aid our fundraising efforts. While some of the students and staff were out doing the walk, we also held an in-house sponsored walk that some of our Year 7's participated in.

The final stop! Our team were greeted with samosas and ice lollies by George Salter Academy, which were needed to give them a final push! Only a few miles left to go!🎉

An amazing welcome at Checkpoint three! 😁The team were greeted by staff and students, made even better with confetti and balloons! 🎈They have had a well deserved rest, and they’re on the way to George Salter!
