So lucky living few minutes drive from a chalk stream, beautifully clear, & clearing for immersed mind & body on a still, frosty day. River Lark at Worlington, warmer than the air (5°C, air 4°). Archetypal chalky river bed & fresh inflow from springs by golf links. #MySwim🧵1/3

Honoured that @greatousert wanted to find out about my river snorkelling in the Great Ouse catchment, which began July 2020, a silver lining of the lockdown. It's led to many adventures https://t.co/8350Os9yz4 (incl. with @BBCLookEast; photo clipped from https://t.co/cJA9JKhuJC).

Bliss to be back in my local chalk stream, The Lark, at Temple Bridge where I 1st discovered the joys of river snorkelling 3 years ago. Phenomenal density & diversity of fish in the clear waters, with Minnows the most abundant fish, rivers within river. And Gudgeon. #MySwim 🧵1/7

Fabulous! In the lovely river Lark
I commend Mike & Jamie as snorkelling companions; M took to it like duck to water, intrepid as they come & I began to feel like a dolphin with all J's innovative shots. Haven't 100% converted M tho; bonkers, was the term he used, despite Lark being at its best! 1850h @BBCLookEast
