Hello! ๐Ÿ‘‹ We are DCLG (Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries), the worldโ€™s first library funded by Andrew Carnegie. We opened in his hometown Dunfermline in 1883 and our museum & gallery extension opened in 2017. It won us the @RIASmembership Building of the Year award!

So much to see in this photograph of New Row/Priory Lane, taken around 1900. To the left is Comely Park Coachworks, founded around 1890. To the right is John Dick's Grocer's, founded before 1894. And the children! All wearing hats, but some are barefoot. #ThrowbackThursday

We're digging into our archives for #ThrowbackThursday and taking a look at St Leonard's Street as it was in the 1970s. So different to today!

Witches in Word, not Deed @WitchesInWordND This powerful exhibition explores the haunting legacy of the Witchcraft Act of 1563 - and is a moving memorial to thirteen of the women who lost their lives and identities through accusations and persecution. Open until 16th November.
