Have you replaced the backup battery in your irrigation timer recently? Without a fully charged battery in place, irrigation timers can reset to their factory setting during a loss of power. This often results in an unexpected increase in water usage.

Operations coordinator Vanessa is in our recycled water pond performing inspections. The pond fills up in winter when irrigation demands are low, emptying by early summer when irrigation increases. When full, it can store over one million gallons for irrigation.

To prevent a costly plumbing bill due to root damage, plant trees at least 10’ away from your water meter & other underground piping. Installing root barriers can also protect pipes from root damage. An arborist can advise on how to protect your plumbing from established trees.

You wouldn’t want to over-pressurize your tires, right? The same is true for house plumbing! The optimal home plumbing pressure is between 45-60 PSI, but water main pressure can be significantly higher. Installing a pressure regulator helps lower water pressure & prevents leaks.

As winter rains approach, now is an ideal moment to install a soil moisture probe. These sensors monitor root zone moisture and help prevent unnecessary watering after seasonal rains. Rebates start at $80 per controller, available at https://t.co/LWOVau3Sg9.
