On this date - 1933 - an F2 tornado struck Brown. The small community is near Durant. #okwx

Aside from the damage to the tanks, a house was leveled at F4 intensity and a pole barn was blasted by debris damaging the engine inside. Only uncertainties regarding what happened to the lost storage tank held the #tornado back from an F5 rating. The area is a sigtor mini-alley.

A truck was nearly completely disintegrated. It was found within a portion of scoured ground near some blasted trees. Multiple oil storage tanks were thrown with one never being accounted for.

October 12, 2021: For the second time in two days, parts of the Southern Plains were under a moderate risk for severe weather. An outbreak of two dozen tornadoes occurred, though thankfully none were more intense than EF1. No injuries were reported. #wxhistory

Re: #Enderlin #EF5 #tornado (1/2) The empty asphalt car wasn’t lifted to its position. It rolled there. You need the right light angle to see this, and fortunately, one of Aaron Rigsby’s drone shots used in the @NWSGrandForks report has it.

Also on 10/12/21 a tornado crossed US62 just east of Snyder and the storm later produced a tornado near Boone (last pic) would have been quite a day chase but the lightning was incredible.
