Our 2025 Citizens Academy kicked off this week with a message from Sheriff Baldwin and a get-to-know-you game! Over the next few months, these community members will get an up-close look at the daily responsibilities of deputies at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

One call was for a woman accused of pushing her elderly mother, and another was for trespassing at a Home Depot. Two suspects were given trespass warnings after workers say they took items directly off the shelf and tried to “return” them at the customer service counter.

The Franklin County DUI Task Force conducted two sobriety checkpoints in Franklin Township, within Franklin County. The checkpoints were located on Georgesville Road n/o Clime Rd. and Clime Road. n/o Savannah Dr. The hours of Operation were from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am.
