Last weekend @hwaircadets held Exercise Spartan Shield, our annual leadership competition. 21 teams (including two from our friends in @BedsCambsWing ) competed in a wide variety of command tasks. Well done to the winners 2457 (Tring) Sqn.

Well done to @2457squadronatc on their victory today, and also to @2FWatford on second place, and 936 (Hertford & Ware) Sqn on third. Pictures and details to follow soon…

6th place overall, but a very commendable second place for the junior boys. It’s always tough going up against wings with up to three times as many cadets, but the team from @hwaircadets showed great spirit and came away with a decent haul of medals.

Out with the @hwaircadets team at @CERegionRAFAC athletics today. It’s currently overcast with a nice breeze, but all heat monitoring and mitigation processes are in place.

Today @hwaircadets held our Wing Field Day. Squadrons competed in Drill, Music, and Aircraft Recognition, with concurrent activities including Blue Aviation and STEM. My thanks to @RwoCer for joining us, along with our guest judges from neighbouring wings.

Today I joined my fellow OC Wings from @CERegionRAFAC, along with the Regional Commandant, SSO, RWO, and SO2 Trg Spt for a very useful catch up and meeting. We were kindly hosted at RAF Syerston by 643 AGS.

Last week I had the pleasure of joining 955 (Stevenage) Squadron for their Celebration of Success evening. It was great to see a number of new cadets be enrolled by the Wing Chaplain, and also to present lots of certificates!

Today I was at @RAFHalton delivering training to @hwaircadets cadets on the L98A2 rifle. We also had another group of cadets live firing on the range.

Great to see @hwaircadets taking part in this #Hertfordshire Youth United activity.

Tonight saw a successful @hwaircadets Swimming championship. Well done to all the medal winners, and overall champions 220 (St Albans) Squadron.

Tonight I had the pleasure of dining with 220 (St Albans) Squadron at their dinner and awards night. We enjoyed a fabulous meal, and it was great to present trophies to the unit’s top cadets. I also got to present some medals to staff.

Yesterday, @hwaircadets held an ATC Sunday Parade at DISC Chicksands. We had the pleasure of being joined by AVM (ret) Nicholas Kurth CBE MA MBA CEng FRAeS FRGS DL, who was our Reviewing Officer.

This evening I attended 1166 (Welwyn Garden City) Squadron‘s Celebration of Success evening. Always great to present certificates and awards recognising cadets achievements.

Yesterday I attended the @hwaircadets shoot at @RAFHalton, where cadets had the opportunity to fire the L144A1 & L98A2 rifles. I also had the pleasure of presenting some King’s Coronation medals, and a Cadet Forces Medal to the Wing Training Officer (Sqn Ldr Heath)
