This morning, OCFRD responded to a semi-truck on fire on FL Turnpike SB near MM 272. The passenger compartment was fully involved when crews arrived, but the fire was contained to the trailer was not affected. Fire is now out, crews have been released. E37.TR30.E21.E30.B24

#HouseFire 7200 block of Lake Marsha Drive: Residential fire, heavy flames through the roof upon arrival. Crews were able to quickly get water on the fire, believed to have started on the patio, potentially involving a gas grill. Good knockdown. No reported injuries.

Yesterday around 6:30pm, OCFRD responded to a house fire in Apopka. Units arrived to heavy fire coming from the roof of the home. Thankfully no injuries or hospital transports were reported, but crews on scene did help this cat that was living in the duplex by providing oxygen.

At 2:55 PM, crews responded to an alarm regarding an elevator that was stuck on the 22nd floor. They conducted a rope rescue to safely evacuate two occupants. Units involved: B3, Cpt4, SQ1, SQ3, TR54, E57, R54.

#BLDW 2425 N Hiawassee Road. Units dispatched at 11:54pm to reports of a church fire, flames showing out of roof upon arrival. Units quickly put water on the fire, crews now conducting extensive overhaul. No injuries. SFM will investigate cause of fire.
