X advises that my previous account, OntarioObserver, violated their terms. Yet I just post about my rescue cat Andrew and food. Trying again!

Library and Archives Canada has excellent programming and also great author launches, sometimes with the Writers Festival. Currently they are gearing up for Milano-Cortina:

I love her work! Messages amongst the beauty. βWe should be more positive about ourselves.β Her Oh Canada quilt is also beautifully crafted. π
The AGO just wrapped up a Joyce Weiland exhibition and here, for no reason at all, is her work I Love Canada, with the very tiny embroidered letters βDeath to US Technological Imperialismβ right at the heart of it.

I love crows! They are beautiful and very clever. Your comment reminded me of a Suzanne Northcott exhibition I saw many years ago, about the Boundary crows, called Crossing Boundary:

Suzanne Northcott: Crossing Boundary At the Surrey Art Gallery to October 9 You hear it before you see it: Suzanne Northcott's video installation, Crossing Boundary. A cacophony of crows rises up
One of the things that I really like to see when watching the sunsets from the North Shore is watching all of the crows flying east along the waterfront on their way home to Burnaby each evening.

Winter returns.
A stormy day in our National Capital. Travel will be challenging at best today with a combination of snow, wind & cold. 15-20cm of wind swept snow will snarl traffic. The high of only -10Β° and a North wind 20-40 means be prepared, & dress appropriately for any outcome. #ONStorm

I too am horrified! But like you I want to pay attention. I am following the monks and Alokaβs journey too. It is amazing! Apparently Aloka has just had leg surgery for a pre-existing injury. He will be riding in the camper for a few days.
@integritycdn I am horrified by what I am seeing every day. As much as I would like to be able to avoid it I know that we need to pay attention. I try to balance it by looking for the beauty that is still around and trying to find something to smile about each day. https://t.co/N9gcgm6nkr
