On the one hand, this team is making the playoffs. Yea we aren't going very far in the playoffs, but we ARE making it. On the other hand, making will playoffs means that no one will be held accountable for the MANY issues on this team.

Unfortunately for standings purposes, the Rangers gave the belt to the A's and are now in the 4th WC spot and will be just 2.5 back of the Mariners, and 5 back of the Red Sox.

I truly cannot wait for the ball / strike challenge system to come into MLB. It's going to be so funny seeing all of the Yankee helmet taps on pitches clearly in the zone so they look incredibly stupid complaining.

Red Sox go 17-11 in August, but it feels like we should've been SO much better. 4 losses to the Orioles and Pirates plus a blown 9th inning lead to the Marlins, with a very below average offense, killed what should've easily been a 20 win month.

It's funny that Oneil Cruz is NOT good this year, but just the threat of him in the batter's box is scary enough. He's close to batting under .200, but still just him being the potential tying run is scary.
