March 1991 and the Nuneaton avoiding line which allowed trains from the Leicester direction heading to Abbey Junction, and on to the Birmingham line, to avoid the need to run through Nuneaton station was still in use. Class 60 60019 'Wild Boar Fell' is pictured heading East.

Blast from the Past! A typical scene at Nuneaton in the mid-1980s, 25212 heads a rake of departmental 16-ton wagons on February 21, 1985. The ‘Rat’ was withdrawn less than three months later and ended up on Vic Berry’s famous stack prior to cutting in 1987. 📷 Roger King.

We don't have any details of the date for this image, but suspect it is late 1970s. A six car DMU at Nuneaton call with a service for Birmingham. Leading is a Class 120 'Swindon' unit based at Etches Park in Derby whilst a Class 116 Derby suburban unit is the rear set.

A visit to Tyseley depot with the @NuneatonRailway headboard in May 1987 saw it pictured on various locomotives and multiple units but this one was a real rarity - a Class 504 electric unit built at Wolverton in 1959 and operated exclusively on the Manchester-Bury line
