Some of our volunteers recently visited @nottspolice HQ to meet the Hate Crime Team. We’ll continue to liaise with the Police and highlight the issues our community faces, both online and in person. 🏳️‍🌈.

With just days until the General Election, we set out on a project, contacting every candidate in Nottinghamshire. We presented them with the same three questions, all surrounding issues that are essential in supporting the future of the LGBTQ+ community.

Last night our volunteers attended the June @RSViP_ event. We were proud to be the organisations charity of the month for June and met lots of wonderful people from many different sectors across Nottinghamshire.

Today is your last chance to register to vote in the General Election. Given some of the sentiment that's being expressed towards our community, there's arguably never been a more important time in recent years to ensure our voices are heard.

This week, we spoke out after The Bishop of Nottingham issued new guidance for schools in the Diocese, around teaching homosexuality and gender issues - particularly relating to Pride Month.

Today marks the start of Pride Month. It's a powerful reminder of the importance of acceptance, diversity and love for all members of our community, not only here in Nottinghamshire but worldwide. 🏳️‍🌈

Our volunteers recently visited @cgltheplace & did some really interesting training to improve awareness of substance abuse. They offer a range of support services primarily for young people up to the age of 25 around drugs & alcohol #drugs #alcohol #awareness #nottingham #lgbtq

Our volunteer, Sydney, explains why social meet-ups, like our own Pride of Men group, are going some way to combatting isolation in the local LGBTQ+ community.

Lesbians, bisexual women, and trans people, whose experiences remain under-researched, were also targeted.

Although exact numbers are unknown, it is estimated that around 100,000 men were arrested in Nazi Germany as ‘homosexuals’ between 1933 and 1945. Between 5,000 and 15,000 were sent to concentration camps.
