Hearing that song, it made him feel a sense of dread. How could he be so fable? How could he be so easily swayed? His love for Eurydice would never fade, but what more was a man to do? He’s just a man.
how easily he abandoned her, let his eyes wander and heart stray. it wasn’t uncommon, not even a little. mortals, especially men - even the most devoted, were always fallible, always weak, always tempted… that song echoed with every step.
