Also, it improves emotional regulation, builds social behavior, increases resilience, and helps process fear and stress. This kind of play also builds confidence and body awareness, teaching them self-control rather than aggression. And it’s just fun.

Dads, play ROUGH! When boys roughhouse with their Dad, they feel connected, secure, and seen. It gives them a safe outlet for energy and emotions, while also showing them that strength and gentleness can exist together.

And I feel that it’s such a terrible thing to think about, wether it’s human trafficking for forced labor/slavery or sex trafficking, I really don’t think it get’s any attention because people don’t want to think about it.

It’s not something you see. It’s definitely not something you think about. But it is 100% real and happens everywhere, and at all times. And don’t think it doesn’t happen here in the United States, because it certainly does.

Silence allows these crimes to continue unnoticed. I don’t think I ever thought about this until I had kids. And the idea of one of my kids being taken or going through something like this, will make any Father uncomfortable and angry, and that’s probably an understatement.

I know. So, this is my reminder, and hopefully it helps you as well, that our kids need us to show them how to calm down. If we get angry when they are angry, that shows them how to get angry. I know they can push our buttons, but we have to try our best to show them

Have you ever been told to calm down? Does it work? I can tell you from my personal experience, it NEVER works. Kids are no different than us, however, they are still learning how to control their emotions, and need much more patience and guidance from us. Patience is tough,
