PSA: for any level without Statcast, the zone function on the MiLB app is not reliable. It’s just some intern plugging in the “location” of the pitch and the result. I’m sure the location of these pitches were *around* where they got tagged as, but I doubt they’re bang on.
This is why I can’t take Hagen Smith’s walk totals seriously. I mean come on.

Lenyn Sosa is a legit hitter. It took him a bit to settle in against major league pitching, but at age 25, Sosa looks like a piece. Now, if only he could find a true defensive home….

Edgar Quero has really impressed me this year. Just a professional hitter, and hasn’t even really found his power stroke yet. Youngest catcher in the big leagues….
